Special Events:
July 1: "There's a Dinosaur in the Back Yard" at Woodstock Library: Singer/songwriter/storyteller Courtney Campbell creates characters. Make up your own stories to tell and sing along with Courtney. Limited seating; come early. Free tickets available 30 min. prior to the program, which runs from 1:30-2:30 pm and again from 3-4 pm.
July 4: Eastmoreland 4th of July Children's Parade, 11 am on Reed College Place. Meet at Duniway School. Decorate your bike or wagon!
July 4: Fireworks start at 9:55 at Oaks Park. Gate fee of $4 for 16 and over, $2.50 for 15 and younger. Or watch them from the Sellwood Bridge!
July 12: Itty Bitty Beach Party at Sellwood Pool! Ages 6 and younger (and their families). Swimming, games, visiting alligator. Regular pool fees apply.
July 15: Make your own fishing set at Spielwerk Toys. Ages 4+, $15, 10-11 am.
July 15: Free ice cream and berries at the Moreland Farmer's Market! 3:30-7:30 pm (until they run out), SE 14th and Bybee.
July 18: Woodstock Parade and Festival, 11 am starting at SE 51st on Woodstock, moving west to SE 41st. The festival follows with live entertainment until 3 pm and events scheduled to 6 pm along Woodstock.
July 23: Milk Carton Bird Feeder workshop at Spielwerk, ages 2+, $7. 10-11 am.
